Located northeast of Accra, discover the natural marvels and cultural treasures of Aburi, nestled atop the serene hills in the Eastern region of Ghana with a cooler climate due to its altitudes.

Depart Accra on a scenic drive to Aburi Botanical Gardens, where visitors will encounter a diverse array of native and exotic tree species while learning about the importance of conservation and biodiversity.

Explore cocoa cultivation and chocolate production at the Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm, the first in Ghana established in 1879. Next is the Oboadaka waterfalls where songbirds, pine smells, and the towering waterfall provide a happy balance of welcome, awe, and wonder. Mampong

Our next stop is the Tetteh Quarshie cocoa farm in Akuapim-Mampong, Ghana’s Eastern Region. Established in 1879 by Tetteh Quarshie, this farm is Ghana’s first commercial cocoa plantation. Quarshie, a skilled blacksmith, introduced cocoa to Ghana upon his return from Fernando Po (modern-day Equatorial Guinea) in 1879. While the origins of the cocoa beans are surrounded by speculation, the farm stands as a testament to Quarshie's legacy. Visitors can witness two original cocoa trees, over 145 years old, still bearing fruit.

Songbirds, distinct signature pine smells, and the splashing sound of the towering waterfall provide a happy balance of welcome and restoration. Adorned with thick green foliage, and a series of steep drops over a few rock steps, Oboadaka waterfall is estimated to have a height of about 623ft above ground level. With a little panting breath along the stairways, you descend at a slow pace to the plunge pool and enjoy a personal touch with the wonders of nature.
