Experience Details
On the first days of November, when autumn colors start their spectacular display in Ishikawa, this one-time bus tour will take you exploring Kanazawa and the Noto Peninsula. Experience noh theater, partake in the centuries-old practice of hand painting candles, and interact with farmers to learn about the reconstruction efforts in the areas most affected by the 2024 earthquake, guided by an English-speaking host.
Day 1: Noh theater & Kenrokuen Garden Tour
Start your trip with a Noh performance and a special sushi lunch, followed by a candlelit Noh play. Your next stop will be Kenrokuen, one of Japan's top three scenic gardens, where you'll enjoy a traditional tea ceremony and a multi-course dinner prepared in the traditional way that lords would present to guests in times of yore before unwinding at your room in the luxury floor of Kanazawa’s Hotel Nikko, with incredible views of the city.
Day 2: Educational Tour of the Noto Peninsula & Dinner by a Michelin-starred Chef
On your second day, you'll travel to the Noto Peninsula to meet farmers who grow the fresh produce you’ll be having later in the evening and learn about the reconstruction efforts underway in the aftermath of the 2024 earthquake. After getting a taste of the area’s food culture in a gourmet event, take part in the centuries-old tradition of painting floral designs on plant-based candles and meditate at the scenic Dairyuzan Kaimonji Temple.
An exceptional dinner will await at Ipponsugi Ave., where Chef Kawashima from Michelin-starred Ipponsugi Kawashima Restaurant will prepare a premium seasonal dining course for you to enjoy.
After your overnight stay at the hotel, the tour will come to a close, but you can continue exploring the area at your own pace.
This tour from the 2nd to the 4th of November 2024 allows you to be a part of local reconstruction efforts, learn about Ishikawa's incredibly rich cultural and historical heritage, and taste its delectable cuisine.
