After departing Napier, you’ll head south along the coast through Clive and past Craggy Range Winery for a scenic drive to the famous Tuki Tuki Valley.

Meet Kate and James Clairmont, owners of Craggy Range Sheep Dairy and corporate turned Sheep milk and cheese farmers. At the milking shed, they’ll show us the inner workings of sheep milking, the processes to make cheese, where they store the cheese and about the unique history of sheep cheese, and how it takes its place in the world. If we’re lucky, we’ll catch them at milking time! The tour continues up to the homestead, where you will experience breathtaking views of Craggy Range, the back face of Te Mata Peak. Kate and James will talk about their journey to becoming Sheep Dairy farmers, and how they produce high-quality sheep cheese that is supplied to some of New Zealand’s best restaurants. We will finish with an educational and chatty sheep cheese and local wine pairing.

The vehicle used for your tour will pick you up at your pickup location. The vehicle is marked 'Mates Travel' and is easy to spot upon arrival. The vehicle with the Guide will arrive no later than 5 minutes before the tour starts. Your guide will pick you up at the lobby/entrance to your pick-up location if they are unable to find a park right outside.
