As your tour kicks off, you'll stop at the iconic James B. Beam Distilling Co., home to the world-famous Jim Beam bourbon. You’ll learn about the Beam family’s profound impact on the bourbon industry. Admission to the distillery and any tasting fees are not included, but you can enjoy a sip of bourbon on-site.
Bardstown (Pass By)
You’ll pass through Bardstown, often called the "Bourbon Capital of the World." This charming town is steeped in bourbon history, where many distilleries trace their roots. Feel free to take a break and explore the local scene, though drinks are not included.
Maker's Mark Distillery (Pass By)
At the Maker’s Mark Distillery, you’ll hear from Bill Samuels about how this iconic bourbon brand began. The distillery’s red wax seal is as distinctive as its flavor. While touring, entry and tasting costs are not included, but you can purchase a bourbon tasting to enhance your visit.
Kentucky Cooperage Visitors Center (Pass By)
Here, you have the option to stop at the Kentucky Cooperage Visitors Center, where bourbon barrels are expertly crafted. You’ll hear from the CEO of the world’s largest barrel-making company about the fine art of coopering. Admission is optional and tickets to the Visitors Center are not included.
Heaven Hill Brands Warehouse (Pass By)
You’ll drive past the Heaven Hill Brands Warehouse, home to one of the largest collections of aging bourbon barrels in the world. This stop offers a visual insight into the sheer scale of bourbon production. Visitors can stop for a tour, but tickets are not included in the tour package.
Woodford Reserve Distillery (Pass By)
Woodford Reserve Distillery offers a refined bourbon experience, often compared to cognac for its smoothness. You’ll hear from Chris Morris, the Master Distiller Emeritus, about Woodford's innovations. Tasting fees and entry tickets are not included but can be enjoyed on-site if desired.
The Jim Beam Barn (Pass By)
As you pass the Jim Beam Barn, you’ll get a peek into the agricultural roots of bourbon-making. This historic barn is part of Jim Beam's larger distilling legacy. Though no entrance is included, it’s a great photo opportunity as you learn about bourbon’s connection to Kentucky farming.
Four Roses Distillery (Pass By)
Next, stop at the Four Roses Distillery, known for its smooth and mellow bourbon. Master Distiller Brent Elliot will reveal the secrets behind their unique flavors. Entry and tasting fees are not part of the tour package but can be purchased separately at the visitor center.
Four Roses Distillery Visitor Center (Pass By)
Your final distillery stop is at the Four Roses Visitor Center, where you can learn more about the brand’s rich heritage and explore a range of bourbons. Like other stops, tasting and entry fees are excluded but available for purchase.
