Flanking the mighty River Rhône, the canton of Valais has been producing wine for thousands of years. Not only is it Switzerland's largest wine producing region, it also is home to many of the country's indigenous grape varieties.

Join host & sommelier Marc Checkley on this exclusive e-bike tour soaking in the best of the region's wines and cuisine. You'll also visit star winemakers, uncover little-known 'Valaisian secrets', while riding through some of the best mountain views in the world.

Chamoson switching station

We stop in the charming village of Chamoson, known for its locale wine called Johnnisberg. We will visit a local winemaker and enjoy a tasting along with cheese.

Domaine Jean-René Germanier

We spend a wonderful time at this much celebrated wine domaine; exploring the cellars and winemaking facilities before tucking into a wonderful lunch of "Valaisian favourites" paired with wines of the House.

Passerelle a Farinet

We explore this ancient fortified village. The oldest such inhabited village in Switzerland. We also venture to the vineyards above and look at local grape varieties and the terraced walls on which they are planted.

Leytron

We cycle along the wine routes and vineyard areas, diverting away from the cars where possible. Our route ends riding alongside the majestic flowing waters of the River Rhône.
