This tour was absolutely amazing! The view of Shizuoka from the tea farm was breathtaking, and it goes without saying that the tea farm itself was beautiful. Moreover, not only was Akito very accommodating, but also extremely knowledgeable on the tea; from the industry and production, to its culture and current trends. The things I learned from Akito has greatly enhanced my tea drinking experience. Also, highly recommend picking up some of the sencha and kukicha at the tea factory.

Fantastic tour of the tea industry and surrounds in Shizuoka. This is definitely a full day event - I would recommend leaving time after to explore Shizuoka before you head off. The tour was great, hosted by the amazing Akito - who ensured we had a great day travelling through some amazing tea farms, a tea factory, and various Shizuoka stores and points of interest. We loved learning about the process of making the wide range of Japanese teas and experiencing the widely varying flavour profiles of each. Great for those interested in food or Japanese culture or just for a truly unique day out!

Wonderful tasting, great guide that spoke excellent english! Tea tasting was very nice with different types of tea and information about how to make them yourself :-)

This was my favorite day in Japan! The tour of the tea farm and cafe was amazing! We had a really great time and learned soooo much about Japan and tea and everything in between. Akito was an amazing guide and really fun to spend the day with. I would highly recommend this tour and make it a HIGH priority for your visit to Japan.
