The tour at the Dewers Distillery is very informative and they talk about the history of Dewers and the distillation process! Then there is the taste testing which unbelievably imparts more information about the alcohol and how to drink it properly and the aging process! I highly recommend going there! There is a small fee but you make it up in discounts with purchases in the shop! The trip to Glenturret was ok! The taste testing was nice but the liquor is a bit in the expensive! We had a fantastic day on the whisky tasting trip and would highly recommend it. The whole experience was really enjoyable, but a special mention to our guide, Anne who was brilliant throughout, so friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Thank you Anne for making it such a memorable day!
We got to try whisky at both a large commercial distillery and a high end boutique one. All were excellent! Our tour guide, Allen, was full of information about the countryside we saw on the drive, and made sure we had a fun and comfortable experience. We loved this tour!
