I honestly didn't know what to expect from a relatively unknown independent distillery but I loved every minute of my tour! By chance no one else booked on my time so it was a private tour. My guide Ray, the jack of all trades and master of many, was an absolute blast to hang out with. He knew so many details and we had some great geeky whisky chats. He is an absolute gem! Given this your as a birthday gift. As this is a young distillery I wasn't sure what to expect. I needn't have had any concerns. Scott, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and answered any questions that we had. The distillery has 3 bottlings. A Sherry cask, a bourbon cask and a blend of the two. You get to sample all 3 and honestly they're all very good. If you have a driver, they'll put samples in a bag for them to take away and try later. A Fantastic Distillery Tour – Made Even Better by Ray! Living locally to the area, I’ve always been familiar with the distillery, but this tour gave me a whole new appreciation for the history, craftsmanship and passion that goes into producing Scotland’s national drink.
