Authentic, fun and well worth the money
A wonderful opportunity to experience local life in Surat Thani. What makes this trip special is that the community shares its real livelihood: the skills, knowledge and daily relationship with the mangroves, without putting on a performance for visitors. The boat ride, local seafood dinner and hands-on crab-catching experience offer a lovely mix of relaxation, discovery and fun. Fun experience with a local fishing family
I joined a group of friends on a new tour from a local fishing community. The family was very kind and I enjoyed playing with the children and learning from the women's group about their self sufficient lifestyle and caught crabs for the first time! The crab catching is at dusk and it was fun to wear a head torch and wade in the water. Only the biggest ones are kept and we released the smaller ones.
