新的一天从宏伟的阿姆斯特朗红杉州立自然保护区开始，在高耸入云 300 英尺的树林中漫步。这是体验已有 1500 年历史的树木的绝佳机会。我们特意选择不去更有名的穆尔红杉森林，那里挤满了人群，使我们的客人无法充分享受红杉树的雄伟。相反，我们去了阿姆斯特朗森林，那里有更古老、更高的树木，而且人群也少得多。
然后，我们前往肯德尔-杰克逊酒庄和烹饪花园，在这里，农场到餐桌的烹饪运动盛行，我们参观的花园是加州最负盛名的餐厅的蔬菜来源。
