Fantastic trip
Our friendly and knowledgeable guide took us around the lake, introducing us to the families who farm mussels here. He explained the history, the flora and the fauna. But our highlights were: The classic Mercedes trip across country to a mountain water pool. (Yes, we were brave enough to swim in it!) And lunch, prepared by a family who had lived there for generations using mussels that come from the lake just yards from where we sat. All fresh produce and washed down by local wine.
