What an amazing and beautiful way to experience the Douro valley. The wineries were picturesque, the river cruise was an absolute delight, and the lunch was delicious. Miguel was the best guide—knowledgeable, friendly and a great photographer. Overall 10/10 experience and would recommend again and again.
Viva Tours set up an amazing day tour of the Douro Valley from Porto. Hernan was a brilliant guide— informative, generous, friendly and humorous. We chose this tour because it promised a local taste of the area and small groups. They delivered on both promises. We were 5 adults. They also catered to our dietary needs - vegetarians and no-pork carnivores. Hugo was communicative and lovely in helping set up this tour. We recommend this tour to everyone interested in the Douro Valley.
My sister and I booked this tour several months ago and today enjoyed a wonderful tour of the vineyards and wineries that characterize the Douro valley. Our guide Sergio was so knowledgeable about the history and wine culture of the area, and we had a delicious lunch at one of the stops. Also a boat ride on the Douro River and more wine. Small group, great day! Highly recommend!
A good tour. Good guide and lunch. Could have had more detail on the wines.
