+1 张照片Hawa was a great guide and host. The tour takes you through an authentic experience shopping at a local market and then cooking a full meal at home. The food we made was delicious and completely doable back at home. It felt like joining the family with her and her mom helping and talking about the food. Don't book it tightly with other experiences, because part of it is relaxing with time and finishing things as needed.
Personally, what i appreciated the most is how 'real' the experience was; This was not the usual cooking class taillored for tourists in which one listens to a lot of talk and afterwards is escorted to a specific shop to buy overpriced products and spices. In this course, we visited an actual market in Mombasa, where Hawa explained how to pick different exotic fruit. Good cooking. Location was their private home. Different to Western standards. Dishes were good. Samosas were nice. Grilled fish as well.
