This experience is much more than a cooking class, it's an all-day immersion into the lives of a local Croatian family who has built an amazing, sustainable farm and winery. The day started with an entertaining, nearly off-road ride to the farm where we learned about vegetable harvesting and then proceeded to pick the vegetables for our meal. We had a brilliant time experiencing the cooking class! We began by picking vegetables from the garden while Andrea built a menu on the fly based on what was ripe. Then, we helped prepare and cook an excellent meal in their open air kitchen overlooking the vineyard, while tasting family wines. We capped the day by enjoying the culinary fruits of our labors and learning about the Tomas family’s approach to sustainable agriculture and winemaking. Oh, and we laughed a lot!
