The cooking class took place in Shir's very beautiful home. We got a great insight into the Argentine mate culture, were able to learn with the help of the very personable cooking instructor how typical empanadas are made (from making the dough to preparing various fillings and the special way of sealing the dough pockets), and learned many interesting things about Argentina. A great experience and we can highly recommend it.

My daughter and I has such a great time wit Shir! She is a great cook, fun, welcoming and we felt at ease with her the moment we met her. She can teach er class in Spanish or in English. Over the course of the morning we cooked different empanadas in a WONDERFUL kitchen. Unlike other schools where they only teach you how to assemble the empanadas, Shir taught us how to make the dough and the filling and we practiced how to make our own empanadas. We really enjoyed our time with Shir! We had wonderful conversation, delicious food, and so much fun! It was such a good way to get to know more about the culture. Highly recommend!

An absolute delight of an experience! Shir opened up her home to me and shared with me the traditions of a nation. From trying mate to empanadas themselves. I ended up having a private class due to the others not being able to make it. I can't wait to take the techniques I learned during our time together and try them out at home!
