エグザルキアはアテネで最も複雑な地域の一つであり、学生、芸術家、作家、そして何世代にもわたる政治運動によって形作られてきた。 このツアーでは、その裏通りに飛び込み、食文化を特徴づける場所や料理を通してその進化を辿ります。
世紀の歴史を持つペストリーショップと、マニ島とカラマタ島産のオリーブ、手工業製品、珍しいギリシャチーズの定番デリカテッセンを訪れます。 素朴な風味のパイを味わい、市内でも屈指のムサカスやハウスサワードウなど、ゆっくりと調理された家庭的な料理を提供する、愛すべき近所のダイナーに立ち寄ります。
途中、エクサーキアの象徴である政治的ストリートアートやコミュニティが運営するスペースを通り過ぎながら、この地区の激しく独立した精神について学びます。 最後に、壮大なスヴラキのテイスティングと、地元の生活に根ざしたクレタ島の食堂での最後のひと口で締めくくります。エクザルキアが夕方に向けて活気を取り戻し始める頃です。
