Every so often you choose a tour that surpasses your expectations. Laos Buffalo Dairy is one of those. The founders Rachel and Susie are passionate, informative and engaging. It's a totally ethical practice founded on serving the community. At the end of the tour you get cake, ice-cream and coffee befitting of the best restaurants. Tour 2 includes everything, feeding, washing the talks and the sweet treats. For US 20 dollars it is well worth it. Easily done on or from the Kuan Si waterfall.

Great experience at a historic farm with interesting interactions
We happened to arrive a week ago on the recommendation of the driver who drove us to the waterfalls, we got a tour and a guide from one of the farm establishers who was great. We got exhaustive explanations and beautiful stories about the animals and the history of the farm and we got great interactions with the pig rabbits and the water buffalo.
All the animals and the farm look wonderful.

Outstanding
I’m not sure I can describe how my heat sung at this venue
The combination of information and hands on experience was wonderful. I am so in love with buffalo! Plus I’ve now officially milked a buffalo
An amazing project reaching out to local people and helping animals too. Inspiring
Lovely food and lots of animal experience- the people are delightful. The young woman tickling a huge buffalo on her jowls was so sweet!

Go early - get the expansive tour with the tasting - don't miss it!
The Laos Buffalo Dairy is an amazing experience you just can’t miss! Recommend doing this after Kuang Si Falls, first thing in the morning.
There are two tour options. I recommend the more expansive one that includes buffalo cheesecake, caramel ice cream, buffalo coffee, and two bottles of milk to feed the young buffalo. It’s a little pricier than other things in Laos, but given everything the operation is doing for the community, it felt like money well spent.
