We were personally welcomed at Alessandro's home for the workshop. It is about twenty minutes by train from Bologna Centrale, and the journey was extra easy because Alessandro had given us all the information in advance about which train we needed to take. A very good option for children and adults
We are very satisfied, Alessandro is very committed to conducting the classes. He communicates very well in English. Gelato and granita made together are very tasty and you can feel the difference with ice cream bought somewhere in the city. The most important thing is that the children were very satisfied with the workshops. Absolutely Unmissable! The Art and Science of True Italian Gelato
If you are visiting the Bologna area, do not hesitate for a second, book this workshop immediately! My Gelato Lab is an absolute hidden gem located in Casalecchio di Reno, just a quick drive away from the city center. Gelato class at My gelato lab
We did the gelato class with Alessandro, close to Bologna. We drove there ( but it is close to a train station). We were welcome in his appartement, directly in the kitchen were everything was ready for the lesson.
My kids ( 7 and 9) loved making their granite and gelato from scratch. Everything was delicious and we even left with more gelato to eat later on. We also learned a lot about the making and the history of gelato/granite. We recommend it :)
