This was an Island Routes trip and it involved seeing natural waterfalls and swimming in the pools and spending time in the souvenir shop at YS Falls. The falls is on a cattle farm. From there the adventure continues at the Appleton Rum estate. A tour guide takes you are the factory and shows you how to make rum. Also learn some history of Black River and the role rum plays in the economy. Really good excursion and rum tasting.
We had a great time. The Appleton Estate Rum tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The ladies in the gift shop at YS Falls were very helpful. The falls were great.
<p>The Appleton Rum Estate tour was great! Learned alot about the history of Appleton rum while getting to enjoy a tour of the factory and a complimentary tasting of the various rums made onsite. Our tour guide Keyon was fun and knowledgeable. </p> <p>YS Falls was awesome, except for the fact that we got rained out! More like deterred due to lightening. <p>Very enjoyable day! Long drive, but time at each place was not rushed. Omar, our driver, was very friendly and accommodating. YS Falls are beautiful...much more quiet and private than other more widely known falls.</p>
