Delicious food and fascinating food history
We have been on 6 Culinary Backstreets Tours and while all were good, Victor made the Mexico City tour exceptional. He had such passion for the history and the multiple cultural influences in each dish that it was infectious. This was by far the best way to learn about Mexico City, its history and its food. Had fun, learned a lot
Oswaldo was awesome! Very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. We had a group of various levels of cooking and he was able to accommodate us all. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. Would definitely recommend!

A great way to explore CDMX!
I could not recommend this tour more highly. Our guide Liz was incredible. We explored two incredible neighborhoods - Tacubaya and Escandon - that are off the standard tourist circuit and are SO worth the visit. The stops were fantastic, the food was delicious, and the walking tour itself was highly informative. Amazing insider experience of Mexico’s cuisine
We started our week in Mexico City with Culinary Backstreet’s “Great Flavor Migration: How Mexico City Was Made” tour with guide Eduardo Landa and it was the PERFECT first day activity; we were introduced us to dishes, deserts, drinks, and coffee’s we would have never otherwise known about, known how to order, or known what sauces, accompaniments, etc. to incorporate.
