この壮大な持続可能な食のツアーでは、西から東にビレッジと呼ばれる地域全体を食べ歩きます。コミュニティと出会い、地元の食のエキスパート家と一緒に道中で食品をサンプリングします。
まずは上品なウエストビレッジから出発します。歴史あるブラウンストーンの家々が軒を連ねる並木道を散策します。
次に、イタリア語からの移民、ニューヨーク大学の学生、ボヘミアンアーティスト、政治活動家、ミュージシャンなど、あまり知られていないボブ・ディランから新進気鋭のテイラー・スウィフトまで、誰もが暮らしてきたグリニッジ・ヴィレッジを掘り下げる。 それらの集団の多くに触れ、彼らがどのように食べ、飲み、生活しているのかを探ります。 地元の学生に愛されているサンドイッチ店、昔ながらのイタリア語マーケット、象徴的なワシントンスクエアパークなどを訪れます。
最後に、かつてロウアー・イースト・サイドの一部だったイースト・ビレッジへ入ります。リトル・ジャーマン、イディッシュ・リアルト、ウクライナ・ビレッジなど、移民コミュニティの名残が残っています。
