Great tour and tasting. The guide was very personable and knowledgeable (I have done a few tours in the UK and Europe and yet I learned things I didn't know on this tour!). The tasting room was nice and the wine excellent! A good balance around information and informality. If you like wine, highly recommended!
Swanaford Vineyard is in a lovely setting and the whole experience was excellent. Robbie, our host, was absolutely brilliant incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and informative, and you could tell he really knew his stuff when it came to the wines. The wines themselves were excellent, so good that we ended up buying six bottles. We also had the cheese and food accompanied by homemade chutney, and everything was delicious. A very special evening spent at Swanaford vineyard! Robbie was an excellent guide, super knowledgable and passionate about wine making and Swanaford. The evening was really well paced, with a walk around the stunning vineyard, followed by wine tasting in the beautiful barn. Swanaford wines are exceptional - each and every one a testament to the Swanaford team's craft and passion for producing world class English wine. A fascinating insight into wine making from the vine to the glass. Our host was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions making the whole experience great fun. The wines were superb too.
Charming and educational experience! If you are in the area, well worth a visit. Our guide Robbie was fantastic, full of information and answers for all of our probing questions about the vineyard and the process of wine making. Really enjoyed the wine tasting at the end. 4 different types of wines, and on offer for a reasonable extra cost were charcuterie & cheese platters. Great afternoon out.
