I also learned about practical operations in an actual restaurant kitchen, which was very informative. This is a highly recommended cooking class in a great location close to the beach.
We had a good experience with Chef Kamal at his restaurant in north Goa. There were 3 of us learning how to cook and really enjoyed the experience. We made several dishes including a couple of different types of indian bread. It was a fun afternoon and the food was delicious. We had a slight issue with a time change which caused a bit of stress but he quickly resolved it for us so that we could attend at the time we booked. I was told about three typical Indian and Goa mother sauces. The instructors are very friendly. They explained each process very carefully and I learned a lot! I would highly recommend this experience, which is a bit different from the cooking class you study in Japan.
I decided to visit Goa because I like the pork vindaloo that originated there, and Chef Kamal's cooking class was one of the most amazing experiences of my stay. In this class, students can choose to be taught traditional Indian or Goan curry, depending on their preferences. We decided to be taught chicken vindaloo, gorefish curry and mackney. I have taken class and it was really impessive! I have taken few cooking classes abroad (Sri Lanka, Thailand etc) and that was the best one by far ❣️ Individual and very proffesional approach. Its was nothing like just giving us recipe and cook. It was approach of professional chef, cooking was done in restaurant among other chefs who was making orders for customers.
