Even though I have visited Malacca numerous times, it was the first time that I have joined a food tour. Highly recommend! Not only did I get to go to places and eat yummy food that I might not have discovered on my own, the tour was an insight into local life. During the tour the guide also pointed out places of interest (temples, houses etc), explained the local food customs and habits, and how life used to be in Malacca decades ago. A huge thank you to Genie for such a wonderful food tour in Melaka! She's incredibly friendly and smiley, has so many stories to share, and we had a fantastic time discovering different authentic local restaurants and specialties with her. This didn't get off to a good start, since the guide had the wrong information about the client. So she was looking for her client and me for my guide. After 10 minutes and some exchanges with GetYourGuide, it finally became clear. S8o I started my tour with Mei. I was the only one registered for the tour, so I benefited from a very personalized tour and it was really great. It was a fantastic tasting tour. My guide was truly amazing. I learned lots of interesting facts about Malaysia, and especially about Malacca. I tasted so many delicious dishes, in authentic local spots. I had a wonderful time, we laughed and chatted a lot. I highly recommend
