Happy Deaf Sicilian with satisfied appetite
I came with my friends to experience the homemade Sicilian cuisine with teachers Letizia and Giuseppe. From the negotiations with vendors at Ortigia market to food preparation are something new we learned. Not only that, they taught us the importance of techniques and details on how to prepare all delicious dishes. On Special note, they did not have to but offered a warm welcome for Deaf customers like us. So willing to accommodate to our needs.

Welcomed into a Sicilian Home for Lunch
We had such an incredible time with Giuseppe and Letizia. We began by being shown around the Ortigia market and learning the best stalls and what produce is local and the most specific to the region. Then a quick drive to their lovely home where we made a beautiful lunch and learned so much about home cooking in Sicily. It was incredibly delicious and our hosts were very warm and welcoming. I could not recommend this experience more. Wonderful!!!!

Farm to table Sicilian cooking experience
What an unforgettable experience!
Our day started with a tour through the local market, where we hand-selected fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and ingredients that we would later use in our cooking class. From the moment we arrived at our hosts’ beautiful home, we felt like family. They welcomed us into their kitchen and shared not only their recipes but also their way of life.

Awesome!!!
This was an unbelievable delightful experience. We were met by the Market in town by Giovanni. We strolled through collecting only the best ingredients for the meal we were to prepare. We then drove to his home and toured his extensive garden. We prepared our delightful meal under his tutelage and guidance. The result? An exquisite homemade meal that was enjoyed by the seven participants. BRAVO!!!

Feeling right at home: unforgettable hospitality and amazing food
We were looking for a special evening, and we found so much more. Chef Andrea and his wife are extraordinary hosts: from the very first moment, we were wrapped in a warm, genuinely family-like atmosphere, as if we had known each other forever.
