We had such a fantastic time on this food tour today! We started at Bo-Kaap Deli, then headed to Open Wine Bar for a lovely wine and cheese pairing. Next, we visited the oldest African restaurant in the city and enjoyed a delicious meal full of wonderful flavors. We ended the afternoon at Fireman’s Arms, the oldest pub in Cape Town, with a gin tasting and dessert — the perfect way to finish! A great introduction to Cape Town and South Africa as a whole. A walking tour that covered a variety of popular South African foods—some you even got to take home! While you do eat a lot, the portions at each location are manageable so you aren’t overly stuffed by the end. However it was the only meal I needed that day. The whole tour is 4-5 hours long, but it does not feel overly long. There are no surprise fees or additions beyond the tour price itself, no gratuities/tips even beyond a tip...더 읽기
Olivia was a fantastic host! There were just four people in our group, and we visited four very different stops that gave us a wonderful introduction to South African food. We make a point of taking food walking tours when we travel, and this was one of the best we’ve done—possibly our favorite. There was plenty to eat, great storytelling and a lovely small-group atmosphere. Absolutely worth the cost.
The four stops all served flavorful food and drink along with stories of the restaurant and area. Olivia was a fun and knowledgeable guide who kept good company. Probably the highlight of our trip
