My husband and I did a tour with Chef Carmen in 2004 and I was so excited to share the experience with our 3 kids and my parents in 2023! Chef Carmen is a truly amazing person - full of fun, passionate about cooking and life, and her attention to detail is second to none. She made sure we all had a fabulous week - including our kids (ages 10, 14, 17)! I found Carmen and Cooking School La Cucina del Gusto by Carmen in an online search and boy am I glad I did. I was looking for a cooking trip to Italy but what we got was an entire experience. I honestly didn't believe the reviews but they were all true! First of all, Carmen took such good care of us. We stayed in a beautiful villa with amazing views. We had private drivers everywhere. This was our second visit with Carmen. The first time was in 2012. It was a fantastic trip and 2022 was just as good. Carmen takes care of everything, including our hotel, many meals, daily excursions to unique and fun places, and of course the cooking classes. My wife is an outstanding cook, I am not. I did this program twice and had as much fun the second time (12 years after the first time). The class is informative, hands on and delicious. The combination of cooking with the tours she arranges for you is the right combination to experience the best of southern Italy. The best word i can use to describe both visits is. FUN. Back once more after loving Carmen's cooking school the first time nearly 20 yrs ago....and again, 10 yrs ago. Now, having brought more friends to Carmen this past week, she never disappoints! Carmen loves what she does and you will love her year after year and time after time at La Cucina del Gusto!!!
