The women from the workshops are the best part of the Lake
Meeting the women of the community is, in itself, a compelling reason to visit Lake Atitlán. The closeness and authenticity of these experiences make them truly special: you can learn a few words in Kaqchikel, discover traditional Guatemalan gastronomy, and participate in activities like craft and embroidery workshops. Women of the moon
An incredible experience to be able to be part of the experience and live with the women. Grateful to be able to live in Santa Cruz, be part of their routines, and be able to share the whole experience with the women. It has been a pleasure to be able to cook with the women, weave, embroider, make crafts... Highly recommended for people who are willing to delve into the culture and live with them.

An essential experience if you visit Lake Atitlán
I have participated in the workshops and it has been an unforgettable experience. The kindness of the women, their patience with all of us and opening the doors of their home to us, along with the affection with which they have received us and taught us their traditions, are incredible.

A close and enriching experience

How lucky to have met the women of Ik Ixok!
I did the full workshop with the women of Ik Ixok in Santa Cruz la Laguna, a 100% local experience and a project led 100% by them, without depending on any NGO. Without a doubt, they are entrepreneurs worthy of support!
