Very nice experience
This morning we did a street food tour with Luz, a local guide, through Mérida's market. It was busy, since the schools are on holiday, and between stalls selling clothes, bags, and mopeds, we tasted our way through Mexican cuisine.
We also tried unusual (for us) fruits like pitahaya, sapote, and the large Yucatecan avocado (delicious with just sour orange and salt), spicy herb pastes for seasoning meat, and colorful candy made from fruit and meringue.

One of the highlights of our trip to Mexico
We joined the Street Food Tour on May 16th with our guide, Diego, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico!
Since it was the low season, the tour became a private experience for just my husband and me, which made it even more special. Diego introduced us to a wide variety of fruits, meats, and traditional dishes that we had never tried before. The tour took place across several local markets in Mérida, giving us a genuine insight into everyday life in the city.
