When visiting Chisinau, it is a given that you must visit the largest wine cellar in the world (as per Guiness Book of Records)., which is located about 10km from the city.The cavernous cellar lies 65m below ground and the length of the galleries is about 200km, There are over 1.5 million bottles of wine stored here together with numerous oak wine casks. Fascinating tunnel travel with explanations of the various wine collections. Not your standard wine tour of “how we make it”. Lovely wine tasting of three wines with nice snacks and Moldavian music. Nathalie a lovely articulate guide. Recommend this tour to others!
