+10 張照片I can highly recommend this tour! We were two queers from Sweden how joined this tour during our week in Portugal. The four hours of professional guidning covering queer and anti-colonial perspective of Lisbon and Portugal - was followed up by a dinner with the guide and the two other participants. This was the best day of our trip. The guide, Leonor, is also very attentive to needs such as the need for breaks or shade.
This was a genuine highlight of my first trip to Lisbon with my longtime partner. We’ve been on a number of historical walking tours over the years but this proved to be such a unique experience—funny, illuminating, intimate, and far-reaching, with a wonderfully irreverent, often profound, and truly multifaceted view of Portugal’s vast history. Leonor was an excellent and always flexible guide who made us all feel a little more connected to her beautiful city and its queer past and present.
The Queer Lisbon Historical Tour was Amazing! Leonor is a charming knowledgeable guide who synthesized thousands of years of Portuguese history, especially the major 20th century events in concise engaging language with compassion and humor. Given the themes of the intersection of Colonial history, misogyny and homophobia it was amazing how much fun this was. And we learned SO much! This tour is a must-do if you are interested in learning about the history of queer culture in Lisbon. There are other elements of history weaved thoughtfully into the tour. My wife and I took this tour at the beginning of our trip in Lisbon and it helped us familiarize ourselves with the area as well. The guide is extremely personable and kind, and it was truly a pleasure to connect with them! Thank you!

I can't recommend this tour enough, both for first-time visitors to Portugal and also for anyone who has been here a while. It was a really excellent, but not too intense, walk through not just Lisbon's Queer history, but also how the country's historic periods, through colonisation, the church, and the dictatorship, intersect – all delivered in a friendly, relaxed way, with plenty of opportunity for questions. I really enjoyed the social aspect at the end, too. 10/10!
