Fantastic experience all around. Mark was an extremely knowledgeable and pleasant guide. We learned all about Basque history and culture as well as Rioja wine making on our way to the vineyards. The wineries themselves were a great mix of small and large producers making incredible wine. Would absolutely use this group again and be sure to request Mark if you book, he truly made the day an amazing experience
This tour with Ander was unsurpassed! Not only was he exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of the Basque region but his knowledge of vineyards and winemaking as well as his personal relationship with vineyard owners and staff ensured a really comprehensive and fun tour. This tour is a wonderful introduction to the Basque wine scene! The tour operator - Go Basque (Ander) - traces the history of wine making up to present. Our tour included a stop and lunch at La Guardia, a charming walled town. Ander was particularly accommodating and good company!

Our group of 4 wine lovers highly anticipated our trip to Rioja, since our we had to cancel our trip back in 2020 due to the pandemic. Nina was fantastic in booking the trip, helping to customize our winery stops as well as our lunch option. On the day of the tour, we were warmly greeted at our hotel in San Sebastian by Ander. Anders showed us a diversity of wineries, each with a unique wine and personality. Anders catered the personalized tour to us and what we wanted to do while staying within the guidelines. Wonderful experience!
