Construída no século XIX, foi restaurada en 1923 pelo arquiteto Suíço, Ernesto Korrodi, tendo sido a residência da familia Soares Franco até aos anos 70 do século XX. Com uma fachada e jardins de belleza muy especiais, tem estado desde sempre associada a imagem da José Maria da Fonseca. O percurso pela Casa-Museu inicia-se com una breve explicación sobre a historia da empresa, seguindo-se a visita ás antigas adegas : a Adega da Mata e a Adega dos Teares Novos, onde estagia, entre otros, o vinho Periquita, e a Adega dos Teares Velhos, onde repousam os mais antigos Moscatéis de Setúbal, alguns dos quais autênticas relíquias com mais de 100 anos. An absolute gem of a day!

Lovely day from beginning to end. Hugo was an exellent driver and guide - professional and welcoming, tailoring our tour specifically for our interests. Our lunch stop in Setubal had lovely views and outstanding, flavourful dishes. The wineries were beautiful, w excellent guides and tastings. Hugo determined we would be interested in understanding more about the artistry of Portuguese tiles and added a stop at one of the few businesses still making tiles by hand.

A Taste of Azeitão – Wine & Flavours Tour

A wonderful day visiting Bacalhôa, José Maria da Fonseca, and Quinta dos Catralvos. Great wines, beautiful views, and a delicious riverside lunch in Setúbal — simply perfect!

Unique day trip from Lisbon if you like wine and seeing some off the beaten path stuff outside of the city.

This is one of the best tours we have ever taken! First of all our driver Hugo was amazing! He gave us a lot of great information and was the right mix of helpful and chill at the same time. We could not believe how much he knew about history, the wineries, etc. This was our last day of our trip was an excellent way to finish the week. Be sure to sign up for this one!

Perfect day with wonderful wines

Hugo proved to be an exceptional guide, with constant support and always very attentive to us. The visits to Bacalhoa and José Maria da Fonseca were superb, culminating in wonderful wine tastings. I highly recommend
