Fun activity and value for money. Host was lovely, guided us how to make and helped us take pictures and videos of us making the Taiyaki. As we only eat halal, we could only make matcha and red bean Taiyaki - which were plant based. Highly recommend this activity for anyone looking for a fun activity to do in Asakusa!

I had an amazing time with Hibi! Since I was the only participant, it was a private tour. We visited several authentic local izakayas in Kichijoji that I would never have found on my own. Hibi was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I learned a lot about Japanese food and drinking culture while having great and deeper conversations. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic local experience away from the typical tourist areas. Definitiv worth its money!

What a wonderful food tour! Gil, our guide had deep knowledge of all the hidden gems, stories of the locations and the food and people were great! Would highly recommend Gil and byfood for the wonderful experience!

A sake tasting and several Izakaya’s plus an excellent guide (Emmanuel) made this a phantastic experience.

We had such a fun time! Our tour guides were polite and knowledgeable and we learned so much about the area.

We had a really great time making taiyaki and Anmitsu, so much so that we immediately bought our own taiyaki pan! Worth mentioning that we both have severe allergies and Yuko went to great lengths to accommodate us including sending us pictures of packets to confirm ingredients would be ok and offering to source alternatives if necessary. The class was very organized, the cooking area was clean and tidy, and we generally had a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

We had lots of fun on our tour, as there were no other people on the tour it felt very intimate and private. I enjoy learning about the area and exploring the narrow little back streets and history. My partner loves Karaoke and it was so much fun to sing in the bar, with the hostess and our guides. We appreciated everyone joining in and sharing the experience with us - it was more than I thought it was going to be and truly a special experience.
