Lorena was a wonderful teacher and very easy to be around. I don’t really like to cook, but she made the process fun and informative. The market tour was fascinating. The food was delicious. So glad we did this.
It was an excellent experience whether you are a vegan devotee or simply want to learn more about preparing vegan courses. Chef Pamela was wonderful.
This was so fun, it was one of my favorite activities on our trip. The host is very personable and accommodating, and the recipes that you get to take home are easy to follow.
I took the vegan cooking class with Lorena and it was such a good time! She made me feel right at home in her space and was super welcoming and kind. She wakes us through the main plaza and the market in Coyoacan and had us try a few new foods there before going back to the kitchen to cook four amazing dishes: tortilla soup, vegetable tamales, carrot tacos "al pastor," and an avocado ice cream (with some mezcal to wash it all down). This was an absolutely amazing experience. Graciela is not only an incredible cook, but she also is incredibly knowledgeable about the historical/anthropological/sociological/geographical aspects that have turned Mexican cuisine into what it is today. She's also a fun instructor whose love for food and her city shine through.
