Super Great time with Bruce, he ensured the evening stayed joyful, fun and engaging! It was not awkward and he was insightful, friendly and made us feel so welcomed! His warm and knowledgable approach made the food tour amazing for my family and I. Take note, I had 3 elderly and 5 adults! He managed it all with grace and poise and I thank you again for an evening to remember, SEE YOU AGAIN BRUCE! thank you

This was a really great experience. Backstreets for sure, and in places, tough and seedy ones where I never would have ventured as a solo woman traveler. Knox really knew his stuff about the neighborhoods, and how organized crime works, and we even walked through a red light district that was nothing I'd ever seen before, anywhere. I definitely have an expanded sense of Osaka and Japan now. Castles and shrines are wonderful, but this was much better, and I'm glad its in my mix of complicated Japan, because its under the surface. Way under!

I enjoyed a wonderful tour and tasted some delicious dishes from Osaka. The host did a great job, Thank you for this wonderful experience. I will recommend your channel and your tours to other people traveling to japan.

This was an excellent tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and it was a unique look at Osaka. Dinner was a bonus for sure. Highly recommended.

Brian and Knox were awesome , both full of info and great at explaining the local Japanese culture and history .For those of you who like a bit of grit and realism this is the tour you want

We had an amazing time. There were so many delicious food options many we would have not ordered ourselves if not for the tour. Our guide Tomoki made the tour. He was so friendly and really gave us an idea of the Osaka culture.

I was lucky enough to be the only person on the night I went so basically had a private tour with Bruce. He certainly proved his knowledge of the Fukuoka food scene - we were, due to unforeseen circumstances, in a different area to where we were originally due to meet but this didn't put Bruce off, we were still able to sample excellent food at a number of fantastic locations. Definitely a recommended tour.

This was first experience with Yati and Keiji stall. Followed him on you tube….he is by far the most talented free-style chef in this type of setting. We had several of his core dishes, to include a special nabe - delicious- his menu is extensive if you have the chance book him - you can’t go wrong, since he guaranteed to be there. Unlike other stalls that may or may not be there.

We just experienced a wonderful backstreet tour with Bennett that was informative, memorable and a highlight of our trip to Japan.

Mao was super nice, knowledgeable and friendly and made the experience very fun and interesting. The food was all delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour!

Brian was knowledgable about Osaka modern day culture and he gave us lots of information about history power and politics in Osaka’s backstreets. He was really engaging and relatable and full of great anecdotes. Food was provided - it would have been good to hear more about Japanese cuisine however this was not the focus of the tour.

It was a great alternative walking tour and we enjoyed a great experience! Guide is very competent and enthousiastic about the topic and you see another side of Osaka. Food and drinks were great! We will recommend this tour to others.
