This was my first kaiseki experience, and it did not disappoint. I had a lunch reservation at the counter, which allowed me to observe the chefs assemble each dish with care and precision. Every course was beautifully presented and genuinely delicious. Some of the flavor combinations were unlike anything I had tasted before, making the meal feel special. Extraordinary. It’s a quiet place when you first arrive and the food just starts arriving. I can imagine it being intimidating but we were prepared dor the quiet. The chef is an absolute master of his trade. Every mouthful is a different flavour. Every dish a different style. And all served on the most beautiful plates and serving ware in a quiet comfortable space. What a night to remember.
