オズレムはクレタ人、トルコ人、ヴェネツィア人をルーツとしており、彼女の料理スタイルに大きな影響を与えている。 幼い頃から食への情熱は湧き上がり、いつも好奇心旺盛で、野菜やハーブを集めたバスケットを持って祖母の後を追って台所を回っていた。 祖母は彼女に、嗅覚、視覚、味覚、触覚、すべての感覚を使って料理を作ることを教えた。 パーソナルシェフとして働き、フェスティバルへの参加、ワークショップの開催、パネルやセミナーの講演、新聞や雑誌への執筆など幅広く活動している。 オズレムさんは料理の傍ら、翻訳家や通訳としても活躍し、これまでに19冊の本の翻訳を手掛けています！
