Despite a wave of sargassum coming ashore, my sister & I had a lovely visit to Mahai! Our host and her staff went beyond to ensure we had a wonderful visit. Delicious food, a beautiful pool & a relaxing Yoga class made for a perfect getaway from the busy hustle of the Costa Maya port area. Highly recommend a day or extended stay here! We definitely plan a return in the fall to enjoy the kayaking and explore the offshore reef.

Had the most incredible time at Mahai retreat. You can feel and see the amount of love, care and effort that was put into this place- brick by brick! 1. The staff are something else, they are so attentive and will truly make you feel so accommodated. 2. The nature of the retreat being self sustaining is something I had not yet come across. 3. Stayed here with close friends and had a wonderful time. The area was very secluded and the atmosphere was amazing. Spectacular food and wonderful staff throughout the trip. Would go again in a heartbeat any day!

My friends and I booked a day pass at Mahai Retreat during our stop in Costa Maya, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Everything was seamless, transportation to and from the port was arranged for us, and we were welcomed with a delicious breakfast (in such a beautiful space) to begin our day. Went to Mahai with a group of friends and couldn’t have had a better time! The staff and property are amazing!
