Very nicely explained, from the plant to the finished product we went through everything step by step and were allowed to taste.
I brought a group of 15 people to Costa Rica for a yoga retreat and our resort recommended the Uvita Chocolate Farm Tour. It was amazing! I have been on a chocolate farm tour before in Hawaii and this one was by far better. Ronald Alpizar has been part of a Cacao farm his whole life and knows what it takes to grow, maintain and nurture a farm, a business, and a purpose. Ronald provided an absolutely amazing experience at his chocolate farm. He is knowledgeable, warm & funny…& the chocolate we made was delicious! Bought lots to take home. The monkey visit was an added bonus! Traveler’s tip…book it yourself through WhatsApp & it’s cheaper. If you have a 4x4 rental it’s very easy to drive to from Uvita or Dominical, just off the main highway.
