Met our hostess, Celia for a walking food tour of Cork City on our Ireland trip. She is a most gracious and friendly guide who lives in South Cork. We covered about 4 miles on our walk, visiting the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, a couple of pubs, and the English and Irish markets. It was good to begin with Irish coffee! This is a must do if you’re going to Cork. We had a fabulous time learning about Cork and tasting many delicious foods. Kerry was very knowledgeable, funny and she truly loves what she doing.

We are here for 3 days and this might be the most fun we have had. Our guide was Kerry who was full of energy and enthusiasm not only for the city and its history but for the food she introduced us too. She knows everyone in the local food business, their history and what to order. So fun! Don’t miss this and ask for Kerry!

This was a wonderful tour that was also a good introduction to the city of Cork. Our tour guide, Kerry, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. All of the foods were locally grown and prepared. They ranged from meats to seafood to cheeses to chocolates and Irish coffee. Give it a try if your cruise ship is in the vicinity!

If you do nothing else in Cork, you must do this tour. The history and traditional foods came alive with Kerry, born and raised in Cork, she knew so much about the history of cork it's culture. Every single vendor that we stopped at was tickled to see her -- and we really enjoyed listening to their local banter.
