We went in not knowing exactly what to expect. Drove. 40min to the middle of nowhere in the jungle. The outside facilities are set up really well, the number of visitors is limited to preserve the cenote. Diner in a big cave with bats was very unique. Pictures cannot do the cave justice. The dinner food itself could be improved, but it was good enough just don’t expect high end restaurant food. It was chicken with bones in it and a mole kind of sauce for the main. WOW, this was an experience, next level. It can't get any more romantic then this. Unmatchable scenery, where you sit between candles, soft music, looking out over the cenote with all the majestic stalagmieten and stalactieten. We drover 35 minutes through the middle of nowhere from Valladolid, wondering where we would end. And then suddenly, unexpected, this...! The cenote is very large and fully covered, with the largest stalagmite in the Yucatan. The tour gives great detail of Mayan mythology and geological information about the cenote and the water systems. Bring your bathing suit if you want to swim before the dinner. There are change rooms and lockers. The water isn’t too cool and is super easy to access. The dinner is wonderful and overlooks the cenote, surrounded by candle light.
