It was a great learning experience for pur group. We had wanted to learn maki sushi rolling for quite a long time and this experience fulfilled our desire. Tamae was a wonderful instructor and husband Hiroki was always there to support and coach our group. We enjoyed and appreciated their warm hospitality. It is so special when people open up their homes and hearts to share with others.

This cooking class for my fiancé’s birthday was an amazing experience! The husband greeted us with kindness and respect and welcomed us into his beautiful home. His wife was waiting and excited to teach us how to make Sushi ! The food menu was good and it included Sushi, miso soup, vegetable tempura, fresh fruit and even a small treat and a birthday candle for my fiancé’. He was appreciative & very grateful ! You get up an up close & personal cooking lesson and we loved it ! We would definitely recommend the experience at a 10/10 and encourage others to book !

We were welcomed into a beautiful home by a wonderful couple. She explained bento and onigiri before diving into the how-to. The process was surprisingly simple but something you can't learn on your own. We also fell in love with the square pan used for rolled eggs. After cooking, she showed us how to make onigiri and assemble the bento box, giving us lots of ingredient options based on our preferences. Afterwards, we ate what we made, along with traditional sweets and tea. A bonus was a pot of pour over coffee in the backyard in the shade. Can't say enough how wonderful of an experience it was, as English speakers we got along just fine. We left full and she even wrapped up what we couldn't eat! Favorite day spent in Japan.

First off thank you Hiroki and Tamae for allowing us into you beautiful home, we had good fun and the session we very informative and the food was excellent to go with it.
For anyone else who's looking to book this experience: It is highly recommended, my partner and I had an exceptional time and learnt a lot. Easy to get to if your staying near an underground station and good bus links as well. Not far from Ohori park which is lovely to go through to walk off your meal afterwards.

Anyone who come to Fukuoka, should try this class. It quite fun! I follow the parfait class, tempura, and lettuce making artificial food. Price mention in the web is for basic fare. The topping is additional. So fun to choose what kind of topping that you would like to put on top of the parfait! Thank you sensei!

I enjoyed taking the maki sushi class. Hiroki & Tamae is a really nice couple. I had fun cooking and chatting with them!

Always see the food sample displaying outside restaurant and wondered how it is made. Then saw in TV programmes showing how it was done and since then, always wanted to try making them. Can considered this experience a bucket list item cleared. Hahahahaha.
The experience itself was wonderful, the staff working there are very skillful and demonstrated to us how to make them.
