Super Great time with Bruce, he ensured the evening stayed joyful, fun and engaging! It was not awkward and he was insightful, friendly and made us feel so welcomed! His warm and knowledgable approach made the food tour amazing for my family and I. Take note, I had 3 elderly and 5 adults! He managed it all with grace and poise and I thank you again for an evening to remember, SEE YOU AGAIN BRUCE! thank you

I was lucky enough to be the only person on the night I went so basically had a private tour with Bruce. He certainly proved his knowledge of the Fukuoka food scene - we were, due to unforeseen circumstances, in a different area to where we were originally due to meet but this didn't put Bruce off, we were still able to sample excellent food at a number of fantastic locations. Definitely a recommended tour.

Bruce and Ling were great, knowledgeable guides! We booked the izakaya and ramen tour and they showed us some great hidden spots we never would have thought to visit, and the food was excellent. Recommend booking a tour at the start of your stay in Fukuoka so they can provide other recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit.

It was great meeting Bruce; the conversation was easy. It was interesting to hear his perspective, as he has lived in Japan for nearly forty years. The restaurants we visited were top-notch. Both were off the beaten path; it is difficult to imagine finding them on my own.

If I could give Bruce thousands of stars for a review I would! Bruce texted us in the USA shortly after we booked our food tour. He continued to check in on us several times before our tour. When we met Bruce in person he seemed like a long lost friend. He is fluent in English and Japanese. My husband uses a cane and he made sure the walking wasn’t too much for him. We started our tour in a quaint restaurant that he made a reservation for. It’s one of those places that you would NEVER find unless you knew it was there. We enjoyed salad, sashimi and fried chicken. It was all AMAZING!!! We finished our evening at a Hakata ramen restaurant. Really good! The next morning he texted us to wish us well on a day trip we had planned. I told him we had to cancel because I lost my medication on our travels. Without it I get physically ill. Not only did Bruce find me a doctor to get my medication. He actually picked me and my husband up at our hotel!!! After I got my meds, we all went to lunch and finished the afternoon at the Fukuoka gyoza festival! We will NEVER forget his kindness and caring as well as an amazing culinary experience. I feel as though we made a friend for life and will return to Fukuoka someday😊

This tour was absolutely wonderful because of our particular guide, Sae. She developed a great spirit amongst the participants and educated us all in a gentle manner. We had a terrific time.

Emma was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the history of the area, as well as Japanese literature and culture. It was a delight to walk Gion and see Geisha, Maiko, and the beautiful and historic buildings. We ended the evening with an exceptional meal at a local Kaiseki restaurant, where the service can only be described as fantastic. The food was well presented and flavorful, and Emma ensured communicated with the staff at each course and explained what we were eating, as well as how to traditionally enjoy it. The other members of our tour all found Emma to be knowledgeable, affable, and an excellent guide. Enjoy this tour, and ask for Emma!

We had an amazing tour with Marie! She was an incredible host, amazing facts and knowlegde about Gion and her english was suburb! The dinner was super nice too! We even had the special opportunity to meet a real Maiko! A once in a lifetime experience! Would definitely recommend booking this tour with Marie! 10/10*

One of the things on my Japan bucklist was to learn more about Japanese geisha so I booked this tour in the main geisha district - I thought it would be about right. On the tour we saw 3 Maiko and it was amazing! Our guide, Lauren, was great and shared so much information about Japanese culture, history, and tradition. The food was awesome and it was great to interact with other people in the group. Very rewarding - I can't recommend it highly enough, thanks for the tour Lauren!

We enjoyed this tour on our magical last night in Japan, we had a really memorable time with Yoshi! She showed us the Gion area and streets across the river at sunset. We snacked our way along as we explored the quaint shops. Yoshi was a very personable guide with a warm nature. In a very approachable and inviting style, she taught us about Japanese culture and the language, we just adored her by the end of the tour! Yoshi made great selections for food as well. Really interesting tour, delicious food, overall exceptional quality. Exploring Kyoto with delicious treats was amazing! Arigatou!!!
