Cool Location. The tea master is authentic and takes a lot of time to explain everything. He shows the spirit of the tea. You can process the tea yourself. Highly recommended.

Our group loved the tea ceremony because it was more of a class than simply being served tea.

We loved the intimate atmosphere. It was fascinating learning about education the tea master had been through. He made it interactive by having us try to whisk the Macha. We would highly recommend this experience.

The class was everything I had hoped for, thorough and educational, but still entertaining and engaging. Being a foreigner himself, Randy-Soei was able to more easily explain the phrases and concepts that don't always have a direct translation. He explained the basic intricacies and step by step instructions of formal vs informal tea ceremonies, explained how things used to be done pre-covid and how things have changed, demonstrated the process, all the while giving basic explanations for why things are done, gave us example sweets of what would be served, and then we each got to try our hand at making tea. Then once we looked at our tea and tasted it, he whisked it better so we could experience the difference in taste and texture. I wish I had more free time as I would love to take some classes, so hopefully I can rearrange my schedule in the future and learn how to use my tea supplies properly! 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking to learn more about tea instead of just watching someone make it with little to no explanation along the way.
