Bruce was excellent. He is very personable and knowledgeable about Fukuoka and the Yatai food scene. The earlier weather had prevented many booths to not show up. But Bruce made use of the ones that were there. He also gave us his tour of the area after the allotted time. During the tour, he recommended a restaurant. We tried to make a reservation the next day, but they were fully booked. I texted him for another recommendation, and he promptly responded with another winner. Thanks again, Bruce.

Bruce was an incredible host and would recommend anyone who is traveling to Japan to book a food tour with him. One of my favorite activities I did in Japan was definitely this!! The food and conversations had during the tour was great. We went to 2 different Yatai and ate authentic Ramen that you can only find in Fukuoka! He also does food tours out in Hiroshima if you want a tour out of Fukuoka.

The best experience we had in Osaka! Saeko is a lovely host, we really enjoyed learning how to cook delicious ramen and gioza with her. We highly recommend it for anyone who would like to leave Japan with something extra!

Bruce was an awesome tour guide. One of our group was vegan and Bruce went above and beyond to help accommodate us and make sure we had a good time. It can be intimidating to go into a yatai but Bruce made it so easy. I highly recommend this tour !!

It was such a treat for us to be welcomed into Kaori’s home and to cook in her kitchen. Kaori’s English is really good and she explained everything to us very clearly. Of course we enjoyed eating the dishes too ! She has sent us photos and recipes which we will definitely be cooking when we get back home in Australia. The food was great, the company was lovely, so overall it was a lovely time spent in Tokyo. Thank you very much Kaori for sharing with us some vegan Japanese dishes. Sue and Dave from Australia..
