Description
Inaniwa udon is one of the three most famous udon noodles in Japan, characterized by its chewiness and smooth texture. For decades, Tomiya Shoten's Inaniwa udon has been well received by customers for its high quality, having been in the business of selling udon since the end of the Showa era. Inaniwa udon is a specialty of Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, with a history dating back 400 years. IN the Yuzawa City area, high-quality wheat was grown and made into noodles that became a highly-prized gift, even presented to the feudal lord from the mid-1700s onward. Even after the Meiji period from 1868-1912, Inaniwa udon continued to be delivered to the Imperial Household Agency. While Inaniwa udon is known as the most expensive udon in Japan, this 1kg pack is an economical choice, containing about 10 servings. The product is carefully manufactured one by one, not mass-produced, so you can rest assured of its quality. Shelf life: Up to 730 days (varies slightly depending on shipping timing) See our other products for more variations of Inaniwa udon.
