My group learned how to make real tortillas from scratch by soaking the corn, and then grinding it using a real metate. The most aromatic and best tortillas of my life. Thank you Clara!
This corn tortilla making class was an absolute highlight of our trip to Mexico City! Ariane was an exceptional host and instructor—knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and technique behind traditional corn tortillas. Clara was so knowledgeable and kind. This hands-on class is a must do in CDMX. We learned so much about corn tortillas. We ate the corn tortillas we made in the metate, then we ate corn tortillas we prepared from the mása from a mill, and finally we ate corn tortillas using Maseca harina. The ones we prepared ourselves on the metate were the best buy far. I will never buy generic corn tortillas again. Thank you Clara!
This cooking class was perfect for kids, and informative for adults as well! My daughters (9 and 12) loved grinding the corn, and seeing their tortillas cook on the griddle. Our teacher, Clara, was filled with knowledge about corn, cooking, and food. We enjoyed it, and we learned a lot!
A group of five of us enjoyed our foray into preparing and cooking Mexican food which we then devoured while chatting to our lovely host. So much tasty food. Can highly recommend!
