팔레르모 시장에 빠지기 쉽습니다. 햇빛이 가득한 골목길에는 너무 밝고 크리미한 리코타 치즈, 바구니 가득 담긴 케이퍼, 그리고 다른 곳에서는 볼 수 없는 길거리 음식이 있습니다. 발라로 시장의 상인들은 갓 조리한 문어와 내장이 가득한 훈제 그릴이 놓인 테이블에서 배고픈 쇼핑객의 관심을 끌기 위해 경쟁하고 있습니다. 스탠드마다 바삭바삭하게 반죽하여 튀긴 해산물이 담긴 종이 콘이 제공되지만, 앉아서 잣과 건포도를 곁들인 홈메이드 가지 카포나타 접시를 먹을 수도 있습니다. 두껍게 구운 황새치 구이가 마음에 들지 않는다면, 계속해서 모퉁이를 돌면 뒤집힌 양동이 위에 앉아 신선한 성게를 캐고 있는 남자가 있을 것입니다.
