Auron was a great guide today! We got to try a very traditional tonkotsu ramen and a more modern version. Both were delicious! He also gave us tons of recommendations for a future trip back to Japan. A lovely way to spend an afternoon in Fukuoka.

Bruce H. was a great guide for a newcomer to Fukuoka. Best tempura I had during my whole trip! Bruce was interested in explaining life in Japan and answering every little question. Walking the streets of the city was fun with someone so knowledgeable. His tour made for a really nice afternoon.

Firstly we had a tour to the Kushida Shrine and understand the history over 1300 years. I was really enjoying on that. After that we visited the tradition Japanese pâtisserie which has over 100 years history in Fukuoka. Then walked through the famous shopping street “Kawabata” and explored some famous local shops. After that, it’s showtime. experienced the traditional Geisha ceremonies with Shamisen. It was the funny time with the musician and Geisha together. We would really like to meet them again next time to enjoy their hospitality in Fukuoka. The lunch box was the most delicious lunch box I’ve had in my life and can’t be beat. For the tea ceremony, this is our first time to have the Japanese tea which made with tradition way in front of me. I really like the tea. It’s tasty with Japanese sweet together and playing a wonderful harmony. How as a guest who has chance to visit Fukuoka, must be have this experience. You won’t be regret.

I hired Bruce to provide a Samurai House Tour for my Father and Mother, visiting Fukuoka on a cruise-stopover. My greatest hope was satisfied, as my parents departed the tour and city with a great impression. They loved the experience and they hope to return. My father even recently expressed to me that some things had happened in his life and career that he couldn't wait to share with Bruce. You could say that my parents left with a fantastic impression. I owe Bruce and his team for taking such great care of my parents, and I am very, very thankful for his energy, the work he does, his passion, and his continued service in sharing the Japan he loves with the people who have yet to come to know it. Bruce is a well known, upstanding character in the Fukuoka expat community and I'll just say one big last humongous THANK YOU!!! This experience was amazing! The owner of the center was so nice and accommodating. My tour guide, Toshiko was knowledgeable and friendly. You could tell she loved her job! I would recommend this experience.If you add the kimono option, you get dressed up first then make your way around Kushida shrine and the nearby shopping street where you will stop and pick out some Japanese sweets to have with your tea ceremony later. The Maiko performing is so talented (and beautiful!) and they let you record and take pictures with her after - something it is very rare to find! Come for the culture, stay for the instagram content! Highly recommend!

This was a fantastic food tour and Mason-san was a great tour guide. All of the food stops were delicious and we especially enjoyed the mentaiko bread. Mason-san was kind, personable, and knowledgeable. Would book again! Thanks!

I recently toured Itoshima and Fukuoka with Yoshi, and he made the experience unforgettable. Awarding him a five-star rating feels like an understatement given the exceptional service he provided. Yoshi's command of English is impeccable, making communication seamless and enriching the overall experience. His extensive knowledge of the Itoshima and Fukuoka area is impressive, bringing each location to life with fascinating insights. Our itinerary included diverse locations. We started at the Ichiran factory, where Yoshi's enthusiasm was contagious. Next, we visited a beautiful beach with couple stones. Yoshi shared local legends, adding depth to the serene atmosphere. At a local sake brewery, his knowledge truly shone as he explained the intricate sake production process. One of the highlights was our visit to a famous waterfall, made even more captivating by Yoshi's storytelling. Yoshi's friendliness is remarkable. He made me feel comfortable and welcomed. His preparation was impeccable, ensuring I was always comfortable and well taken care of. He was always on time and displayed remarkable flexibility with the itinerary. Given the outstanding experience I had with Yoshi, I would want him as my guide again. His expertise, kindness, and dedication set a gold standard for tour guides. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious, I loved the handwritten menu and overall attention to detail from the restaurant owner and staff. And, I was very impressed with the vegan menu. We did a lot of activities, and it finished at 3PM, giving plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day.

Mason is a super nice guy, and we not only got two delicious ramen experiences, but a walking tour of much of Fukuoka including the castle ruins (very cool). Also, we got great recommendations for our other meals during our stay, which we took advantage of and were on point! Even helped with our search for other local services and special purchases. What a great guy and great introduction to Fukuoka.

Overall, kimono experience was very nice and really liked the Japanese dance and shamisen that were lovely, tea ceremony and lunch were delightful. Rich contents to enjoy your half of your day during your Fukuoka trip!
